It’s time to party like its 1998! Announced last month as a completely free-to-play remaster (enhanced graphics and sound) of the original StarCraft and its all-important expansion, Brood War. Brood War was released in 1998 and is arguably still the greatest real-time strategy (RTS) title ever created.Starting today, everyone with PC can play the game’s legendary multiplayer as well as both single-player campaigns for free. Note that this is not StarCraft: Remastered, but rather the original game and its expansion Brood War. The download weighs in at 1.6 GB and you can grab the installer, or if you are using a MAC, click on. Installation is a smooth and easy process.
I installed it about one hour ago and there are absolutely no issues to report. Except for nostalgia-induced nerd chills I just can’t get rid of.It is the first patch for Brood War in roughly eight years, and it doesn't just some have small bug fixes.
